What Is Farm Roots?
Farm Roots is a farm and forest enrichment program for elementary students, ages 6-12 in Monument, Colorado. During the planting and harvesting season the curriculum is heavily guided by learning to grow, tend, and harvest food. Once the season has ended the lessons transition to environmental sciences with the addition of engineering, mathematics, forestry and of course literature!
All lessons will be highly hands on, interactive and in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
Meet the Founders
Autumn Kauffman and Abby Housefield, two homeschool mamas, just like you! We were looking for natural science experiences for our kids and a little time to ourselves!
We created the type of outdoor learning experience we wanted for our own kids. As we've grown, we've continued to add to our incredible staff of teachers and have a team who cares deeply about the outdoors and about each of your students.
We feel honored to do this important work and love creating a space for meaning connections with nature every week.
